WOW! BOX

The Wow! Box Project financed by the Erasmus+ programme, action KA210-ADU – Small-scale partnerships in adult education, of which the Amunì Step by Step association is a partner, officially started on 1 January 2024 and will end on 31 January 2025.

The first International Meeting dedicated to the project took place in Marsala in April and saw the involvement of members of the project’s partner organizations:

• Elan Interculturel, coordinator and lead applicant based in Paris
• Grigri Project, strategic partner involved in visual identity and communication based in Madrid

Three days dedicated to staff training in order to create a common methodology and start the process of creating the Wow! Box.

Wow! Box aims to promote integration, inclusion and cultural diversity in the field of education and training.

The OBJECTIVE is to reduce the boundaries and frontiers between different cultures with different values, customs and norms and to increase access to mutual cultural differences, working with the surprise effect to stimulate curiosity towards “the other”. In this way we aim to build new modern and inclusive European societies that welcome diversity as an asset.

The Wow! Box will be designed to be used by adult trainers (social workers, facilitators, teachers) as a multi-sensory activity to get to know each other, familiarize themselves with the new environment (city, workplace, society) and therefore develop a sense of belonging, create curiosity towards ” the other” and use it as a valuable learning opportunity.

The indirect target group consists of migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, people who have experienced social mobility and other vulnerable groups who need support in their adaptation process.
