The Cre.o.La 2.0 (Creativity, Organization and LAbour) Project financed by the Erasmus+ program and coordinated by the Amunì Step by Step association officially started on 27 and 28 September 2022.

The Cre.o.La 2.0 project involves 3 international partners:

Future Focus Ltd – Internships, a training organization based in Malta,
Icep • Institute of European Certification of Personnel, a certification body based in Slovakia,
Redial partnership, an association dealing with social inclusion based in Ireland.

The first meeting between international partners at the Convento del Carmine in Marsala was an opportunity to get to know the local realities that work with young migrants in the field of orientation and job placement.

Cre.o.La 2.0 is a remake of Cre.o.LA. (CREATIVITY, ORGANIZATION AND WORK) financed by the Youth in Action 2011 Program and implemented by Amunì Step by Step. The first project aimed to promote the exchange of experiences between young migrants and local young people and their active participation to build a future perspective, particularly regarding the field of work.

Cre.o.La 2.0 aims to update the previous project, making it more innovative and digital.

Cre.o.La 2.0 wants to leave behind the logic that too often sees migrants engaged in degrading and dehumanizing jobs and shows the range of possibilities offered by the job market.

Cre.o.La 2.0 wants to strengthen the employability of young migrants, as well as their key competences and basic skills. The project will increase opportunities to meet local communities, share social spaces and connect with people, locals and foreigners, in order to reduce barriers between migrants and employers.

Furthermore, Cre.o.La 2.0 will increase participants’ digital skills and help them use all available tools for a responsible and useful approach to social media and the web.

Cre.o.La 2.0 will also contribute to reducing linguistic gaps relating to specific sectoral languages in the field of work.

The thematic workshops, based on the profiles of young migrants, will be developed through the CLIL approach in which a foreign language is used as a tool in learning a non-linguistic subject in which both the language and the subject have a joint role.
